again i use brad pitt or tom cruise, i don't believe they are seeking super-stardom all the time, they somehow get very large movies that have powerful impacts on society and moviegoers. honestly look at pitt's last 5 or 6 movies and you will ask yourself why couldn't val have these roles?

No, it's because he keeps turning them down. Anyone that's been following his career knows that. There's a long list of "omg! I can't believe he turned that down" roles that turned down. He's just a weirdo. He's not really into acting and it's too bad because he's so unbelievably good at it :-(

Yes, there is a long list of roles that Val has turned down, but then hindsight is always perfect isn't it? Many of those decisions were made for reasons of family obligations or schedule conflicts.
