it is usually good for a few thousand posts. a guy used to work for the largest llewellin kennel. he told stories of english setter litters being imported "en masse" holes chewed through kennels letting the dogs roam like a co-ed dorm and the owner deciding on the "sire" of a litter based on the pups looks. and i've seen pedigrees with father/daughter brother/sister inbreeding for generation ...

I vote for short tails vs. long tails. Although trial setters vs. AKC bench dogs would be a close second!! BC
