just seen a nice souding recipe for blueberry and vanilla muffins! it asks for egg whites but i'm not sure what they are and how to i get them? do i need to boil an egg or something? is also has vanilla essence, is this easily available in the supermarket? appreiciate replies

egg white is the bit thats not the yolk in a plain old normal egg. basically crack your egg and let the see-through slimy stuff escape into a container, and keep the yellow blob in the shell, and the bit in the container is the white. you most likely don't cook it to use it in this recipe (just put it in raw and mix it up and then put it n the oven), and you can use the yolks for something...
