Hi, my endocrinologist switched me a few months ago to levemir since lantus went bad quicker and my insurance is not great. SInce I have been on the levemir I seem to be so hungry all the time and have noticed my blood sugars are running higher the last few months. I take novolog 4 times a day and split the levemir betweeen am and before bed. So don't know if anyone else has run into this problem. I am either high or really low and...

I use LESS of the Lantus than the N/NPH, but it still cost more......Not sure about the Levemir and cost use-rate ratio.......... Replying to: levemir versus lantus Hi Before I went on the pump I was switched to levemir. When this happened my sugars were all over the place, I couldn't get them under control no matter what. The dr. switched me to lantus and it was better. The cost may be more, but if it helps you, that may be worth it.
