Im pretty much totally fed up with the system right now. I have a child support order that was given by the state...but we never went to court for it. No custody set up or anything due to the fact that we were living together when it started. By Ohio law, the guy has to pay even though hes living there and already paying for everything. LOVELY. Obviously we arent together anymore....its ...

You have to pay child support that's the bottom line, unless you have full custody. Yeah the insurance issue sucks, my ex had kids, and he was paying almost $900 a freaking month for insurance on his kids (more than the child support!) and the mother NEVER used it!!!!! Life's a bitch, what else can I say?

Laws very state to state bro. I go through the same stuff with my kids. If you have a penis you're considered the anti-christ by most child support services. Too many have come before us that screwed it up and makes it hard for dudes who are good fathers. If you feel you are getting the run around I would definitely get a lawyer. Your support that you pay should be based off your income and...

My advice would be to take to a family law attorney about this, not us. The laws in each state will be different. My understanding is you could always go back to court over it, but you may end up worse off than you are today. IMO the lawyer would be worth a couple of hundred bucks. I talked to one about some stuff last year, he is one of the better attorneys in the area and after he talked to me...

How much would you be paying if you were married and had to pay for her anyway? Does the mother of the child work and do they offer insurance? If so maybe you could work something out with her so she gets the insurance but you pay for it.
