My insurance only covers 6 cycles of treatment (whether that be Clomid/TI or Clomid/Injectables/IUI) per pregnancy or documented miscarriage.... We used our first two cycles with Clomid doing TI. This cycle we added IUI. If this doesn't work, RE said we would try this same thing next cycle. Would you change over to injectables/IUI for the last three cycles that are covered? I didn't have any...

If it were me, I would go to injectables next cycle. Not to mention the higher you get in dosage on Clomid the more your lining will thin. TTC #1 since 2003 Dx anovulatory, Severe MFI Round 1&2 clomid+TI=BFN! Round 3: Clomid 100mg+Novarel trigger+IUI w/donor sperm+progesterone suppositories=BFN Round 4: Clomid 150mg+Novarel trigger+estrace+IUI w/donor sperm=Cancelled due to poor ...

My RE says that he likes to change things up (or at least check in with what his patients feel about their treatment) every 3 mos or so. With the ins issue at hand I think you have every right to at least ask him if moving to injectibles will help your chances at all. I would want to move on to inj, but that's just me. An Angel wrote in the book of life, my baby's date of birth. Then ...

I would move on. The cost increases so much, so I would want to get the most bang for my insurance coverage. You've done 3 cycles of Clomid, I think it's fair to move on. It would suck to waste most of your 6 on the fairly inexpensive Clomid cycles when you could be using them for injectables cycles, I think. *Christina* TTC since 9/06 1st Round of Clomid+trigger: 50 mg, finally ...

My RE also change us to injectables after 3 rounds of Clomid with IUI. It was actually his suggestion that we change things up as my lining was also becoming thin on the Clomid. My nurse also told us that she felt we made the right decision moving onto the Follistim. I would say, approach the RE with desire to change protocols.

I did 1 cycle of Clomid this one and had my first IUI on Thursday. My RE already brought up injectables right after my IUI because of what Clomid did to my lining. When stuck in a river, it is best to dive and swim to the bank yourself before someone drops a large stone on your chest in an attempt to hoosh you there. - Eeyore TTC since March 2007 - IUI#1 w/Clomid + Ovidrel ...

I would move on. I did 2 cycles of clomid w/ IUI and RE moved me to injectibles (Gonal F) and IUI this month. Typically they do 3 cycles clomid, 3 inject., 3 IVF. But she felt I wasn't responding to clomid and that they did not wantto thin my lining. I never had a baseline before starting clomid but I was an 8 month one and 9 moneth 2. This month on gonal f, ovidrel, I have a 10.5 yesterday with...
