Would it be worth a cycle of trying Femara after several on Clomid with no luck? I respond really well to Clomid but it still isn't doing the trick, so the nurse mentioned Femara or Injectables. I'd almost rather just move on to injections. Also, what CD do you start injectables on if you take them? Thank you. *Christina* TTC since 9/06 1st Round of Clomid+trigger: 50 mg, ...

I start my Follistim on cd4. I think I have some other injectable ladies say they start on cd3. Do you know how the clomid affected your CM & lining? If your doctor thinks that it had a bad effect on those, so if you don't want to start injections, you could try femera. Some people have better luck with femara. My RE doesn't use femera so we moved on to Follistim. I respond SOOOOO much ...

Oh and I also wanted to say that if injectables would be covered for you, I would go for it. 07-22-2006 We Became Husband & Wife TTC #1--Dx PCOS/Amenorrhea/Anovulatory, Factor V Heterozygous. I do Femara and injectables in the same cycle. I start Femara on CD3 and the Follistim on CD5 until trigger. If you respond well to Clomid are you ovulating or are you just producing good follies, if that's the case, I'd ask about inlcuding a trigger shot in either a Femara or Clomid cycle to ensure O. Femara has no side effects for me at all, love it compared to Clomid....

If I were you I would probably give Femara a shot for a cycle. I know people who didn't respond to Clomid at all, but Femara got them pregnant. It's a lot cheaper than injectibles and I didn't have any s/e on it. It's worth a try, right? I've done Femara for 4 cycles and injectables for one (current cycle). I did have some s/e on Femara ($40)-- serious bloating, headaches, leg cramps, and moodiness. It worked for us, but I only produced one follie each cycle. Also, I spotted throughout the 2 ww (don't know what your dx is, but mine is PCOS). With injectables (about $2500 for the cycle-- co-pay was the same as for Femara...
