The Coalition for Luggage Security reported today that, according to a New York Post article, federal security screeners have engaged in inappropriate activity within airports. According to the article, published June 16, 2006, "'Air'Head Security Slimebags", federal security screeners were caught confiscating and keeping drugs, soliciting a child with child pornography, and selling seized knives...

Four other Transportation Security Administration screeners got busted stealing thousands of yen from the luggage of unwitting Japanese tourists - while two federal air marshals got caught conspiring to transport 15 kilograms of cocaine. A TSA supervisor got arrested for distributing porn to a minor - although the screener actually was communicating with an agent posing as a 13-year-old girl. ...

I personally don't trust anything this "coalition" has to say after they went to Sen. Ted Stevens a few months ago and asked him to introduce a bill to limit passenger carry-ons to 1 purse-sized carry-on...
