Hi, I've got a big problem with legs and waist here. You see, every time I want to buy trousers... I just can't find any that fit me properly. Say I grab some jeans and they fit my legs perfectly. Then I have 5 inches of extra waist, or even more, which is just too much. Or say I get jeans which are my exact waist size. Then they'll smother my legs (if I am able to put them on at all). So ...

It is rare to see someone who's legs look too big in proportion to their waist - I wouldn't lose any off the legs, unless you really do have freakishly massive quads! Either - wear a belt! - or take the jeans you want to be adjusted by a tailor to fit you. It doesn't cost a fortune, and they can do amazing things (reducing size anyway; they can't do much about making things bigger...

Either get your trousers tailored or drop all leg training apart from Deadlifts. If you want them smaller then yeah, just drop all leg stuff for a while. I know not everyone wants to look like a meathead.

You know guys, I don't do bodybuilding to look too massive, I just want to be in good shape and not too skinny. When I started I was 145lbs and now I'm 180lbs, which I believe is much better. My goal is not to compete, but rather just have fun and look good. Having 60cm legs and 85cm waist is not anywhere near professional but it's a ratio that doesn't seem to fit most designer's standards, and...

quote: ORIGINAL: Wheels If you take a look, the current tread in mens fashion is 'ultra' skinny. Won't be long before male models will be competing with the girls for the eating disorders. Yeah, I know, but I'm not talking about model ****. It's just that the standard cut is not bodybuilder-ready, not just with the latest fashion trousers, but even with good old classic cut jeans....

Distance running may help, but it sounds like you are fighting genetics which is never going to be very successful. The running will impact your upper body progress don't forget. (in reply to jeaver )
