"Events" that attract crowds (April/May) | Thread profile

Historically, are there any "events" that happen in either late April or Early May that would effect crowd levels/operating hours? I'm thinking along the lines of: -Pop Warner Cheerleading -Magic Music Days -Grad Nights -Gay Days -Any major conventions Trying to decide when in 2009 to go. Which would be a safer option: -Last full week of April -First full week of May...

Flower and Garden festival is happening at Epcot during thiis time of year.

2008 Events: Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival March 19th - June 1st Grad Nights at MK (next year it is at DHS) April 18, 19, 25, 26 Disney's Minnie Marathon Weekend May 2- 4 Epcot Teddy Bear and Doll Weekend May 16-18 Gay Days at WDW June 3-9 Star Wars Weekends at Disney's Hollywoond Studios June 6- 29 I hope this helps....

Thank you so much! This is exactly the info I was looking for! I knew about the flower and garden festival, but I didn't know about the others. This helps a lot! Seems like either week would be a good choice for us.

For what its worth - we have been before in the first week or 2 of May and it was not crowded. I know that some schools have later weeks in April off.

Does anyone know if the kids who do Grad Nights are generally around the parks for the rest of the weekend after their actual Grad Night? We will be doing DHS one of the nights they are in MK, but just wondering if I should expect roving groups of teenagers the rest of the weekend as well?
