how do you see it? i call it a choice, i was a pot head and an alcoholic when i was younger. all choices i made. then i made the choice to quit. simple enough. for whatever reasons the powers that be have given addicts a crutch and a reason to be an addict in calling addiction a disease. please explain your vote.

I don't think it's a choice nor a disease. Addiction is addiction. Always going to be there. Now, there's a choice to do something about it.... I think a person who chooses to do something about their addiction and succeed would have to feel an overwhelming sense of power.

I voted choice. As I've admitted before on this forum, I've battled addictions to pot and meth. It wasn't something I did for enjoyment it became a way to make it through life. BUT, I realized it, didn't care for what it was doing to me or the people around me and quit. I CHOSE to beat my addiction not let it rule me.
