http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ AUDACITY - Its a free wave editor. Much like soundforge - Not quite as good, but will certainly do the job for you..

you can write a .cue sheet so the mix will be cut into tracks upon burn. There are also a heap of programs that can split a mp3 file using a .cue sheet without the need to burn it first. I use CD Tag, ain't free though. .cue sheets are easy to write as well, you can either just grab an exisiting one and open it in a txt editor and go for there, or there is at least 1 net based program that ...

cue is the much better solution. without a cue sheet your mix will be interrupted between tracks depending on the mp3 player etc...

just done a new mix. its 78mins and I want to split it up into tracks. my soundforge trial has expired does anyone know any programs that lets you split up your mix into individual tracks? thanks in advance

line 3 is where it reads the file from. What will likely be happening is the cue sheet can't find the file it needs. 2 ways to correct it after opening the .cue sheet in text editor. a) make sure the mp3/wav file your splitting is in the same directory as the cue sheet and named exactly the same ie. mp3: HAKS_&amp;_HARLEQUIN_MC_-_H2_XPLOSIVE.mp3 cue sheet line 3: FILE &quot;HAKS_&amp;_HARLEQUIN_MC_-_H2_XPLOSIVE.mp3&quot;...
