Like I said in another thread I'm a bit bored and have far too much time on my hands so I'm in a thread creating mood Being in asia, and seeming as though it's hot and due to the fact that I hate hot weather I've been spending alot of time inside watching alot of new films. Malaysia has a thriving pirate dvd market... Anyway I've probably watched more films in three days than I normally do in...

Audition: Really creepy Japanese horror movie, but done in a not so typical way (thankfully). No stupid teens running around half naked while the killer spouts off stupid one liners. Just a really creepy and disturbing film. Worth seeing. Corpse Bride: I was kinda worried it was going to be cheesy, but it ended up being very good. I think its better than Nightmare before Xmas. Plan 9 ...

yeah ed wood was pretty cool! i dress just like him. me and my mate talk about making a part two to plan 9, and call it plan 10 from inner space (it'll be a sci-fi porn-ish musical sort of thing, but not enough to get an nc-17 rating)..lol. it'll be so tacky ed wood will come back from the dead to boo it! anyway, if you want to see some horrid films, go rent house of the dead 2 (1 was ok, ...

I loved Lord of War, Jah. But a lot of people did not like it, so I guess I'm in the minority. And I don't disagree that Syriana didn't have its high points and merits...it does, and in many ways it's a great flick. But it was too chaotic and merits several watchings to really catch all the subtleties and (to me) mishandled pacing, etc. It was confusing, that's all - but the premise is great,...

rather obscure Japanese film called neighbor 13. it's not exactly "horror" but very nicely disturbing. it really digs up the dark side of you. or at least it worked for me. i had nightmares after seeing it. which means it was enjoyable.

I've only ever seen the orginal, but i think it's brilliant and captures the spirit of the book very well. Gene Wilder was great in it too. It certainly wasn't rubbish....

I rented Walmart: The High Cost of Low Price http://www.walmartmovie.com/ It was pretty good, but didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know. I'm really itching to take the boy to see Ice Age 2 tomorrow. I loved the first one, because I'm a dork like that.

Beachy, I saw Capote too and loved it! Wait, I think I already mentioned that in this thread. Yes, Hoffman was brilliant, and I too was unaware of the Harper Lee connection. Did you know that it's rumored that Harper Lee did not actually write Mockingbird?

i watched Walk The line last week and I also enjoyed it. joaquin and reese really did a great job (they were picked by john and june to play those roles) and i thought they sang really well for not being singers. i also recently watched the sound of music. granted i've seen it a million times, but i love to watch it and sing along. there are a few boring parts i fast forward though (climb every mountain, boring).

I liked it...primarily because I personally know several people who actually feed...
