Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't Stanislaw Lem the guy who originally wrote "Solyaris"? I've never really taken the time to look up his various works, but this review you wrote sounds very interesting. Yes, Lem wrote Solaris. His books tend to be either very funny (The Cyberiad) or profoundly serious (Fiasco). I think he's one of the all time great science fiction writers.

Yes, Lem wrote Solaris. His books tend to be either very funny (The Cyberiad) or profoundly serious (Fiasco). I think he's one of the all time great science fiction writers.
