I love the recoloring! They only had 32 colors to work with at DC in the 70's. Well now were geting computer colors. We've got millions of colors. The updated coloring intensifies the atmosphere of the stories. And if you dont like it you can go out and buy the old comic books. You know, there out there. You can buy them. For you fanatics. They exist. I have many of them still. But if you really ...

who did the coloring though? you mentioned adams doing the re-penciling and inking...but its the new coloring that kills me. i hate coloring that is so obviously done by computers. it makes the art so cold and inorganic. theres no life to it. id take old school coloring over tha any day. and i think the computer coloring in this instance looks especially bad...it appears to be so amateurish...i ...

Recoloring old comics does have it's pros and cons, while the newer colors make the pages more lifelike and realistic, the coloring makes the pages appear too dark at times, although most of the time it depends on if the colorist is any good.

Ugh. I hate it when old-comics are re-coloured with modern computer-style colouring with smooth gradients etc. It looks nice but it's not representative of how it origianlly looked. It's like Lucas shoving tonnes of CG into the original Star Wars. I'm not against re-colouring per se but they should keep it closer to the original and keep the colours *flat*. Nice flat colouring can bring out the linework better anyway.

I don't really mind recoloring. Some of the coloring jobs of the old stuff aren't that great to be honest. Some stories in Tales of the Demon had really bad coloring jobs.
