There has been speculative theology on the subject: God could have created life on other worlds, possibly even sentient life. What we do not know is whether He did. All life is from God of course, and the existence of life on other worlds would not deny the absolute power and authority of God. But then is it ever clear where Eden actually is? (That's a question, I dont know). I think some people have argued that it was supposed to be between two rivers in Israel (?), but I'm really very ignorant about all that. But really it seems like some kind of other-worldly utopia. So, supposing "aliens" do exist - and I'm not saying they don't - the Fall would have been universal ...

If Aliens do exist (and I am sceptical, but hopeful) why have they not actually shown themselves to us, and indicated that they wish to communicate, despite many radio signals beamed from this planet. Is Pope Benedikt interested in Space matters and the above, maybe he will issue a Pronouncement on this.? Hillier in UK
