26' Edgewater, thoughts? | Thread profile

I was looking for a knockabout boat for the kids and someone offered me a 2006 26' Edgewater with a pair of four stroke 250 Yamahas. I've been away from the small boat market for so long that I have no idea what the new boats are about. Is this boat any good? Whats it worth? Thanks in advance guys.

That's a nice boat,but I'd rather see you look at the Southport 26. I've run it and it's a damn nice little boat.

I have had my 24 since 2004 and love it. Edgewater builds a Great boat and are good people to work with. I have no idea what it is worth, I would guess about 70 to 80K.

I second Cold Beers. I have a 2007 EW 245 CC and love the boat. Test drove the 26 found it to be a solid boat and handling was great but just a little to big for my use now. Good people at the factory also. Good Luck

Agreed again-a 245 and love it. I looked at the 26 and like hogrefe found it just a bit too big. This may be nonsense but someone told me that the 26 did not handle any better than the 24 despite the extra feet.
