Tmobile 3g NY question | Thread profile

I heard there was the rollout for 3g in Ny, but was wondering if it was only limited to NYC? I'm in brooklyn and stuck on edge speeds for now ... im using the htc touch cruise and it is us 3g compliant. So my question is for the guys who are from brooklyn are you getting 3g or its just limited to NYC for now. Thanks in advance.

I can't answer as to whether or not there is 3G in Brooklyn, but I can inform you that regardless of that fact, your phone will not be able to use 3G. The touch cruise is not compatible with Tmo's 3G frequencies.

T-Mobile's 3G network runs on AWS 1700/2100. As of now, the only phones compatible with T-Mobile's 3G network are T-Mobile's own offering (Nokia 6263, Nokia 3555, Samsung T819, etc.), no matter how pathetic they are, .

wait for the xperia x1 to come out, hopefully comes out for tmobile

Yeah I was gonna bring up the fact that Brooklyn, as quiet as it's kept, is part of NYC. Along with Bronx, Queens, Manhattan and Staten Island... That place where they keep Wall Street, Central Park, Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden - thats called MANHATTAN. Not NYC. Most people who didn't grow up here don't seem to know that.

Yea It's actually a shame, because the majority of NYC residents do NOT live in Manhattan AKA the City. The only reason residents refer to it as such is because "Manhattan" doesn't roll off the tongue as easily as "The City"
