someone posted an interesting thread about people's "loyalty" towards t-mobile - i noticed that a lot of the people threatening to leave are doing so because of their want/need for faster mobile data (or their worries that even when tmo launches 3g, the handset selection will be extremely limited) i was just thinking it might be a fun little experiment to see how many hofo'ers ...

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I have to admit that the lure of 3G has tempted me very much. What it all comes down to though is that the price increase by going to any other carrier isn't worth it for me right now. 3G "will" be here soon. I'm a very impatient person, but I can wait a little longer for some good devices.

3G is no big deal for me. I dont use my phone to browse the internet and I don't tether. I would guess that there is a very small percentage of the population that does. If you need it then I can see it being a decision maker. Other than that, 3G is over rated.

I thought about it but the only option is at&t and they are currently more expensive with poorer CS so for the moment I will stick to T-Mobile, though I will probably trial a Go-phone just to compare.

yeah i'm thinking of leaving, by the time 3g is here, or full lauched, we will see the beginnings of 4g on other carriers, so tmobile users will be years behind. at this rate, IF tmobile comes out with 4g, you're prob looking at 10-15 years

With 3G coming to Los Angeles area in September and new phones (Nokia E71, BB Bold, and HTC Android-based phone) coming later this year, I'm staying with T-Mobile.
