Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li | Thread profile

OK. I just heard about this show about a couple of weeks ago. I'm sorta jazzed about it, but I really would like to save my excitement for the end result. It reportedly has Kristen Kruek (Smallville) starring as Chun-Li. I've not done much research on this movie so that's all I know for now. But what are your opinions on it?

Hopefully it is better than the terrible movie they did years ago... I am sure it will be...there is no worse actor than Jean Claude VanDamme...

...I kinda liked Halle Berry in Catwoman...only kinda...... Chun-Li is my absolute hero so I'm really excited about this ......I was also excited about the 5th Harry Potter movie but I was extremly dissapointed. ......I'm still excited...Keep me posted.

Thanks for the link, Risu-chan. So...the cast looks pretty good. With the exception of Taboo as Vega (he's SO not pretty enough. He's got the hair and the skills, but...not the beauty). LawLz, they shoulda cast the guy from the Street Fighter: The Later Years to play Vega "I NEED IT TO PROTECT MY FFFAAACCEEE!!!!" (if you have seen it, you know what I am talking about.) Anyway, I think a movie about Ryu would give that samurai movie kinda feel. He is on the quest to become the ultimate warrior.

It really depends on the writers... If you think about it, the whole concept of street fighter is "hokey," as you put it. Ryu could travel the world and join tournaments or something. He doesn't necessarily have to just fight random people in the streets...

^ true. and why does Bison have to be played by some old guy? He's not old in the game. It should be someone well built who can fight.
