Hi, I was accepted into UTSC's program and received scholarships. I am wondering, how will they be given to me? Will they send the money to my bank account, give me a cheque, or just add to my UTSC account (ROSI)?

given that the scholarships are usually endowed funds by a donor meant for tuition, its perfectly reasonable to see that the university is crediting you in Student Accounts. You should be able to see the money applied in ROSI. If you don't want the money since the "university is paying itself", refusal is always an option - I'm sure there would be someone else happy to have it applied to ...

well since its added onto your ROSI account, I would assume the the scholarship $ will be subtracted from your overall tuition amount. Thus, you don't really receive any physical money (ie, can't withdraw the scholarship money) and thus left over money will not be on your bank account.

Err... As someone mentoined they credit it, this usually happens around October. If you paid your tuition already, you will see a $1000 credit (or whatever the amount you got), after this, 2 weeks later, they will send you a cheque assuming you havent enrolled in NEw courses. Sorry bad spelling typing with one finger.
