this big debate on if u should use slow movement on ur lifts with a squeze at contraction... so my question is are u spose to do that or just lift normally such as on bench take the bar to ur chest and back up, instead of goin down getin a deep strech( pause for a second) then back up? anyone help? thanx

Do them all... One time I'll hit the muscle light, rep, 3 to 5 sec rest. Next time I hit it I hit low reps and heavy ass weight, next time I hit it I'll do the 2 second pause/contraction. i think a good balance between both ways is a must for growth. get strong then work that high weight really slow.

Explosive movement is what is going to cause the muscle fibers that are attatched to your bone forced growth. If you want to grow bigger it is extremely importance for a denser muscle build. You can do slow negatives once a month, to shock the muscles and tendons. If your doing slow movements and precise form it, that's pretty much just going to give you a pump, not force your body to grow.

Explosive movements are good but aren't thing only thing that makes you grow. Ever check out the dudes in prison... They aren't using heavy weights... they are doing reps and what ever else they are allowed to do in there. The main thing is to feed your body, especially after training and REST.
