Hi All I have a friend who has sourced me some gear from an Indian pharmacy. Now i have no plans to ever go to India and my friend is not coming back to the UK anytime soon so courier seems to be the only way to get it over. Is there anything i can do to stop the goods being seized by UK Customs on import or is it luck of the draw ? He regulary sends clothes, books and Indian food to his family...

There is nothing that can be done. Sampling is random, and anything "mixed or packed with" the goods is also liable to be seized (s. 144 CEMA 1979).

Re: couriering goods from abroad From India is pretty safe aslong as its packaged good and small like envolope shoud be ok, iv had nothing seized from there yet.
