I agree and disagree aya. I force break my dogs but I don't make it a hard long drawn out thing. i do it slow and make if as fun as I can for the dog. Do a little at a time and go slow. Mike, What I did to keep my dogs cool was carry a gallon canteen filled with crushed ice and water for them to drink. I also used a small folding entrenching tool to remove surface dirt to get to cooler dirt for them to lie on to cool their bellies. This is no good in very dry places.
