As you all may know I may be getting a rescue brit. The details are still in the planning stage and I have some concerns, maybe I can get some help here. The dog has issues,(what a surprise) Not, anyway Im concerned that those issues are transfered to my dogs at 10 months old. I can deal with the issues and it will take lots of time (at least the ones I know of) But I dont really want to...

Mike, You have to go with your gut. None of us know the "issues" or your situation there. Will the "issues" transfer to your dogs? They will be effected by any presence of course. But with solid focus your dogs will remain who they are. The dog can be slowly introduced to the sound of gunfire. Plus, it sounds like this dog was born to hunt and had instincts that will kick-in ...

Thanks roger I knew I could count on you and some others to help in this. I will probably get him if they can wait three weeks for me to come. 3 Brits is ok, and working him into the pack would be ok. After all Im the pack leader right? We all love dogs and want to help and "do the right thing." But we can't rescue all the dogs. Go with your gut, no one will hold it against you if you decide against it.
