p990i my sms gets stored to sim not phones memory | Thread profile

anybody know why my p990i whenever i recieve SMS it automatically gets stored to sim, and not the phone memory? even thou my phones memory isnt full! only 20mb out of 64mb occupied! is there a setting to change this? rather than it gets stored to sim change it to phones memory!

Cool and sweet sugarqfx!! You can also perform the trick for the incoming sms stored in memory stick!! I've tried on my S700i, and success!! About the sms stored automatically in the SIM, maybe it because of the provider SIM's configuration settings. You can change the configuration in your FS. Then find a file that named approximately... SMS_CUST.XML or try also msg_ui_...

actually back then when i forst got the phone everything got stored on the phones memory, i had the same sim! but now it gets automatically stored on the sim! i did some modifications on the phone, with the protected folders accidentally i deleted one of the apps folder, but i did a master reset and now everythings working fine!
