If there were ever any Shia texts that showed Shia Imams contradicting what the Prophet (s.a.w.) had said, this would be taken by Sunnis as an example of Shia innovation, of holding Imams above the Prophet (s.a.w.) etc. But to my knowledge no Shia Imams have ever contradicted what the Prophet (s.a.w) said. one more little blip in the sunnis version: Prophet was aware of the whole of Qur'an, long before it was revealed to the ummah (Prophet himself said Qur'an was revealed to him once every year by Jibrael, and in his final year it was done twice, one of the ways he knew that would be his final year). Thus, how is it that Prophet would side with something against what he already knew???...

heres another point - who taught umar that he would know more than the prophet? the prophet himself? Allah? jibrail? the hadith is instantly rejected because it goes against the quran - the prophet does not speak BUT revelation. sorry bro
