The narration of this show seems to me to be making light of real murders, as it is in such a gossipy and lilting narration. The show would be interesting if it weren't presented in this manner.

fakey 'conversations' that everyone sits around having during the show? Very annoying...

At least if your gonna use "re-created" conversations, don't use the same old tired real-town folk who originally had them since they invariably deliver the lines stiffly and, ironically, unrealistically. Hire actors who can deliver a line; we'll understand. After all, most reality shows now are mostly or wholly scripted, and the audience knows that, and we're all right with that. But...

The program is the retelling of old 48 Hours or Dateline shows. Maybe using outtakes and adding in the horrible "neighbors". They should be taken out and just show the rehashed shows.

Totally agreed. I watched an episode last night that a friend had taped several months ago, and we couldn't stop laughing about it. Do they really think we're this stupid? At first we were thinking it was a comedy, but soon realized that their cheezie puns and sophomoric writing were actually part of a crime show. In the end we couldn't believe how much of a mockery they had made out of ...

I admit that the show is not well done, but it is interesting the way it points out that people are not always how they appear!

Does crass and disrespectful narration really sell? The staged townspeople discussions make me cringe. Death is tragic if you didn't know.
