Walking Dead 50 - Variant | Thread profile

Did anyone have trouble getting a copy of this? I walked into my LCS and they had 5 copies of the variant at 9.95 each. Did your store have many copies? How much did they mark it up to?

check out ebay... markup price now around 20 bucks.

i had dibbs on one at my lcs... they told me they were getting one at least for sure. sure enough, i got screwed, they didn't get one. went to three other shops around town looking for one. the general response was "yeah, we mostly only sell trades so we didn't get one" or they had already sold the 1 or 2 that they did get.

My comic book store in LA had 3 for $9.99 and I got one of them. There was one left when I left. I also got a normal #50 and read it. I have to see if there is any thing different besides to cool Sci-Fi/capes cover.

midtown comics in nyc was selling it for $30 before it even came out (home delivery service) - rather high, in my opinion... was it still 1/100? i thought it had changed to 1/25... i dunno... i've bought each of the variants and regulars of the three interlocking covers on invincible, wolf-man and brit... but the markup on this one is off-putting. wish it had been a closer ratio... ...

Got a variant and a regular and together they only set me back 8 bucks. One of the comic shops in town had about 5 more variants and tons of regulars.

$9.99 in the Windy City for a variant but Graham Crackers in Naperville IL (plug for the boys) seemed to have as many variants as regular issues.

ehh, just paid $34 shipped for mine. Oh well I better now because later this fucker will be going for $100 easy!

My LCS informed me months ago the people that worked there already had dibs on all the variants. I doubt there's going to be one waiting for me when I make it out there in an hour or two. Variants sound like a good idea, thrill of the hunt etc, but at my place it's just favoritism. I can't complain though, because usually they favor me. TWD is just too popular among the people that work there, ...
