Aside from The Walking Dead (of course), I find most zombie based comics to be a bit lacking. Seems like they focus on the gore factor way to much. As much as I love gore, it needs a human side too and that's where TWD shines. So anyway, does anyone know of some other good zombie comics? Also, I like stories of psychological horror. Its not a zombie comic, but the main character hallucinates about zombies in The Other Side. I highly recommend it because its just damn good. Its a story of two kids, an American and a Vietnamese, joining their respective armies to fight in the Vietnam War. They experience atrocities and such first hand. I collect most Zombie related comics, the best of late I thought was IDW's Zombies!: Eclipse of the Undead. The TPB has just come out. Just my opinion.

deadworld is hit and miss, but it was one of the first and i still make sure i purchase the new issue when it hits the stands. it is currently published by desperado and i think the dude reemeder (sp?) from marvel zombies is scripting it. vince locke (best zombie artist ever in my humble-and-quickly-dismissed-opinion) drew the first two issues of the current incarnation. he drew more ...

As far as comic goes, "The Walking Dead" is just the best thing ever made about Zombies. I also collect everything about Zombies. Some of my favorite comics are the old "Tales Of The Zombie" from Marvel (1973-1975). It's in the same vein as Warren's Creepy, Eerie & Vampirella. Not sure if it counts as "zombies" exactly, but Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse is VERY good. There are some OK mini series but the best part about walking dead is that is picks up where most Zombie comics and even movies are ending. The whole idea that makes walking dead so good is that it continues every month and lets you watch the humans build their lives back. The other books and movies are all about running.
