just replace the tube, and carry a spare tube with you, they're small and very cheap

Last winter I switched to try the glueless patches and they worked great for me. Previous to that, I'd been using the same old orange and black patches with glue for the last 30 years. My current front tube has two patches on it and doesn't leak air day to day noticeably more than my non-patched tubes.

On the road I use a new tube. Then patch teh damaged tube when I get home with the glue type(vulcanizing). The glue patches are permanent. The glueless are temps designed to get you home in an emergency (stated on the directions). After teh repair, I replace the new tube back into the seatpack as a spare. I used to use glueless but seems Park cut back on the ...

I only use glued patches. Big changes in temperature during the summer around here significantly shorten the life of glue-less patches. It regularly gets down below 50 F in the morning, and above 95 F in the afternoon this time of year. Glue-less patches seem to devlop air bubbles and eventual failure after a week or two.

Glued. No reason. Just tradition. The vast majority of my on-road repairs just replace the tube with a new one. I patch the old one in my garage and glued patches traditionally (though I have nothing to back this up with) hold up better as a permanant repair.

i've tried glueless patches recently and they really don't hold 115psi very well. On the road i just carry a spare tube and always a cellphone in the off chance I flat twice. I collect punctured tubes and on a rainy day sit down and then patch them up and test them out, if the patch fails I toss them out since I'm sure pulling off one of the glued patches will damage the...

Glue. No need to buy new tubes all the time. And often you don't even have to remove the wheel or tire - if you can see the nail or piece of glass that did the damage, just pull out the section of the tube and patch it with the wheel still on the bike.

I find when the glue less patches smash in between the tire and tube at 120psi it's not going anywhere. I've never had a problem with glueless as long as I clean the tube well. And they are not really glue less as they have tack to them.

Depends... On the road, I carry a few glueless patches along with a spare tube. Depending on the circumstances of a flat, I may replace the tube or I may use the glueless patches. Once I'm back in my personal bike shop (my wife calls it the garage ), I remove any glueless patches and replace them with a proper glued patch. I have no reason or scientific proof to ...
