I haven't but I know a few people who have. 2 friends- tried it, dated a couple guys, but didn't have long term success. 1 friend- is in a relationship of almost a year w/ a girl he met on Match.com 2 friends are now married to the person they met on-line. It's becoming much more the 'norm' now and I personally see it as any other way to meet people - you'll meet some duds but you...

I met DH on Match, so obviously I think it's a great idea :-) You have to be careful and use your common sense, if you do those two things it is a great way to meet people. Funny thing is, most of the guys I met I could in theory have met in person somewhere along the way. Even DH - when he met my BIL, they thought they knew each other. Come to find out, they are distant relatives and had ...

It really doesn't matter how you meet someone. DH and I met online, and we would likely never have met otherwise. Of course, meeting someone online doesn't really mean "online dating" - DH and I met online, but within the week we physically met and our relationship was then just like any other dating I had done (but better, of course). Just don't get caught up in someone that you haven't ...

I met my husband that way, so I recommend it highly! I did however do it for years before I met him.. But all those years of meeting jerks was worth it because otherwise I never woud have met him!

I met my dh on match.com, although we both had friends and professional contacts in common so I could do my due diligence :) I personally met a lot of genuinely nice guys on match, although I screened heavily. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. But it required me to be very careful and set up lots of coffee and drink dates because I think it's a waste of time to invest much time e-...

DH and I met on yahoo. And just like OMG we met within a week of contacting online. They even highly recommend you don't delay meeting in person because you start to build this fantasy in your head and when you finally meet he/she may be a disappointment. I highly recommend considering this as an option in your dating life. It's a great way to screen guys without having to deal with them in ...

Met DH via online dating. In my experience, you get the same results as meeting some guy anywhere else: a lot of jerks, and a few really good ones.

I met DH online too. Like all the pp's said. It's a good idea to meet in person fairly quickly, and you'll find that there are some creeps out there, but there are also some great guys.

I'll chime in here with the other ladies.. I met my fiance online through an online game and we officially started dating after we met up in person and really hit it off. It's just like any other avenue of dating-- use common sense and good judgement and there isn't anymore risk than dating other ways.
