Does anyone know much about the process of buying diggs or pay service for increasing friends? Here's an article about it from Wired Magazine: http://www.wired.com/techbiz/people/news/2007/03/7 2832 The main site that is talked about is: http://www.usersubmitter.com/ Any feedback on this or Digg techniques is appreciated..

Why you don't post in Diggs yourself? The difficult is how to keep your articles in first page for long time. I did that before, but 2-3 days later I had no traffic from Digg any more.

I've never used this kind of service, But what I will say is that no number of Digg's can guarantee you front page exposure . All in all to get to the front page you need to write quality post's. Having said this I think a service like that could maybe help, but I think it would only work in your favour if you have good content that is actually "Digg worthy" in the first place. I'm not sure...

I don't think it is practically achievable unless the story is very popular and posted very first time, even Digg’s top users generate roughly 30-50% of Digg’s front page; http://thedrilldown.com/2008/01/24/t...rns-with-di gg/ However you can check this method too; http://www.johntp.com/2006/10/03/tip...the-frontpa ge/

Thanks for the feedback. I have been building a pretty good friend list over the past week and have been utilizing a daily shout to get some momentum. Although I have not had more than 500 uniques a day from digg, it has led to a few of my articles being stumbled. The stumbles have led to 6000 unique a day spikes.

I don't think it's effective... I can say its effective if you have a good content that people want to read..

Digg users are very paranoid, and I'd say at least 99% of people that use pay services to try and exploit Digg will only end up getting banned or shunned by the community. Also, Digg users will rarely ever click on ads so it's useless traffic. Simply put, Digg will not help you, nor will any other social media website unless you aim to use them properly.

I would prefer adding friends in blogcatalog than submitting my page to digg and stumbleupon... It's just a waste of bandwidth
