I was on oral Zofran for my last two pregnancies and I can agree it is a miracle drug. It was also $1,000 a month. With insurance, $50. With the insurance I have now, it would probably be $999. I hate this insurance plan.

Ack! Nausea post-op?! I suffer HORRIBLY with nausea. Basically, once I become nauseated...head in bucket for hours. Great. And I thought I was done with all those meds 12mo ago. I am glad this post was made. This way I will not be shocked when my dr talks to me about the nausea. LOL Yes, he does know about my history in great detail. LOL

I get sick very easily and my perception (from TV or movies as a kid, I guess) is that throwing up is just part of the experience. I have been dreading it almost as much as the post op pain. The only other thing I have to conquer now is my fear of saying something awful while under the influence. ...

Yep, it is costly. The plan I had at that time, 30 pills would last me 6 days and it was $80 every time. However the Phenergan is way cheap! LOL Same number pills would be less than $10 on same plan! LOL Another thing is less drowsy Dramamine! That helps a lot too! Especially when dealing with a dizziness side effect from a pain med. Or you can take the regular Dramamine and be knocked out ...
