Which format takes less space than AVI? I want to put all the seasons of family Guy on my zen vision m 30 GB buy every episode takes 200 MB (with subtitels). The ZEN Vision M Series Media Explorer Conventer doesn't read the episode with the subtitle he tells my that the format is fine for the device so I cant low the quality of the video...     thanks guys!

The format isn't the issue, what matters is the bitrate of the video. If you want them to take up less space, run them through this converter: http://www.autogk.me.uk/ Just set a smaller custom size. There are other converters out there like Super or iriverter, you can use those also, just set the bitrate low, and you'll get a smaller output.

Install the software of course. Then, open the AutoGK program, open the video as the input file, set the output file for it to write, go down to where is says "Custom Size (MB)", select that, in the box beside that, it has the size in MB, which you can adjust. You can adjust it what you want, you said the file is 200MB now, you can adjust it down to 100MB or something if you want. Then, click "...

I don't know about subtitles, never tried. As for quality, Xvid is the best codec the Vision:M supports, quality should be fine, of course, the smaller you make the file, the lower the quality, and the quality will be lower than the original file. Message Edited by HHS on 05-17-2007 01:34 PM

You couldn't have converted the video that fast, did you interrupt the process? Just let it run after your push start, don't worry about the temp folder, that's not the final output. Message Edited by HHS on 05-17-2007 01:48 PM
