There's been a lot of uproar about a certain poster who likes real fur. For everyone who's having kittens over it, what about leather? Cause that's just dead animal skin, too. I'll go first: I don't give a damn either way, but I don't own anything that's real fur or leather. Not because I'm hugely opposed to it, just because I don't. I always feel like Somebody's watching meeeee...

I'm not interested in owning or wearing fur, but I have no problem with those who do. I do like leather. I just bought my fiance a sweeeeeet leather chair. It's like butter. Holy crap, I made a bio. You've got a wishbone where your backbone should be.

I have nothing against real fur for other people, it just borderline gives me the heeby-jeebies to wear personally. I love me some leather though! My Married Bio | My Planning Bio

I guess the main reason I don't mind leather is because we kill so many cows to eat, and it's really just less waste (although a big part of me is thinking we don't use the cows we eat for leather, but I don't really know much about it). I'd never own a mink coat, but whatevs if your about it go to it. L2snark, biatchz

I'm not a PITA freak or anything. I personally don't own anything that's real fur. And I don't mind people that do...I just don't like when fur shrugs or whatever have the head of the animal and such still on them....then it makes me sad. On the leather front though....almost all leather stuff that I own. (ex chairs, shoes, laptop bags) are all made out of cow hide...and...I eat cow....put ...

I agree... I don't really care to wear fur. It is very creepy to wear a dead animal! I do have a leather jacket though. I know they are basically the same but in my head its different!!!

I personally dont like fur, but I guess its becasue they usually dont use the whole animal. Cows are eaten and used for their leather, so the whole animal is used. I think cows are usually killed more humanely than animals that are used for their fur (ex trapping or clubbing or whatever). Maybe its just that fur comes from cute cuddly animals and cows arent that cute, lol....

I actually really want a full lenght fur (mink or sheared beaver). I heard they're really warm. And where I live warm is good. I've had regular full length coats and they're just not warm enough when it's -35 out, which it is here half the winter. When it's not -45.

I don't mind fur. I think it is a bit ugly to wear... it reminds me of old ladies. I don't care how ugly it is. If something is lime green and neon orange and makes me look 90 but will keep me warm when it's -35 out I'll wear it! (Not trying to be argumentative, btw)

They taste so good and sometimes yes, there are shades with green or blue tint but a lot of peach to brown. They vary in sizes when I buy a basket. Once there were two yolks, there may have been others but I don't always crack them so neat. Once in a while there is a gross egg with blood but that is why I break an egg in a small cup and them add it to what I am making. Kind of a pro since I eat eggs every morning. hi

People have pretty much summed it up in this post. I don't like the way animals are treated or slaughtered. I really admire the work of Temple Grandin who has worked to make slaughterhouses more human. Oxymoron- I know. I don't think animals need to be tortured before they are killed whether for meat or fur. Bio!
