So I was thinking of... okay, dreaming of trip #2 and imaging that we'd try for a fall trip next time (this time we're going in June). I decided I'd be okay with taking DS out of school in the beginning of the school year as opposed to middle/end since Sept./Oct. is a lot of review, etc. That being said, we'd be looking at Sept/Oct 2008. BUT.. it just hit me that DD would be starting ...

Yes, it is commonly known as Jersey Week and WDW is crowded. But it is manageable. The crowds are no more than what you will find in June. And the weather is nicer. As far as the holidays, Halloween is over and the Christmas decorations are not yet up. Some places may be starting them but it is definitely not to a point where the decorations make an impact.

I go almost every year the last Week of October first week of November and of course Halloween is a busy day but other than that its great crowds... I am a subsitute teacher and well taking a child out of school in Kindergarten is not really that bad most teachers will give your child worksheets to keep them up with the class and homework ...

QUOTE child out of school in Kindergarten is not really that bad Ya know, I figured that. And she's been in nursery school for the past 2 years so its not really that big of an adjustment for her. I just felt kinda guilty taking her out during her first month of REAL school, ykwim? Its good to know that Jersey week isn't much worse than it will be in June! Thanks!...

We always go the week after Jersey Week. It is really nice since it is not very crowded, most everything is decorated for christmas and the weather is usually beautiful.

How funny that Disney has a Jersey Week??!?!! I feel so special. We will be missing my DD's kindergarten orientation the week we are in Disney. I felt a twinge of guilt but honestly, it's kindergarten, not High School or college so DH and I are OK with it. Plus, she already knows most of the kids she'll go to school with anyhow. I'm jealous you are already thinking of your NEXT trip!!!...
