Great pick-up. Colt DA revolvers are starting to get scarce, try to find a good set of factory wood grips-- if affordable. Even if you don't want to use them they will enhance the value should you ever decide to sell.

Those arent the factory grips? I thought for the Mk V they started putting the "stubby" rubber grips on them. Then again, info on these are pretty scarce. I cant find much as far as how to take them apart, part replacement, etc etc. Colt's website is kind of a pain. Ill look into the grip thing though!! I never meant for it to be a collectable. Im gonna shoot the sucker! However, ...

You can get original grip replacements, at a premium however. That one is older as evidenced by the ctg. on the barrel. Good score. Havent shot this one yet...but i can tell you how my dad's S&W model 27 was. When looking down the bbl, the top of the red marker sat level with the notch in the rear sight. And you'd put that sight picture dead on target and thats where the bullet would go. I imagine Ill need to spend alittle time with it to see where it likes to be aimed. But the rear sight is adjustable...so that ...
