A parakeet will need to get to know its mate, but eventually they will mate and have baby parakeets. Yay!

well they liked to be courted first- and if you don't romance them enough they bite you with their tiny beaks- I find parakeets are worth the trouble!

In the wild parakeets breed in colonies in groves of Eucalyptus trees. There will be hundreds and hundreds of pairs. They rely on that chatter to help them into breeding condition. This means that usually one or two pair won't breed. It unusually takes several pairs of birds to get to the level of chatter to work. Purchase a book on keets. THF has some good ones. I find great books on Ebay. I ...
