The swedish government are in a few days going to be voting on a law that would allow the swedish intelligence people to actively listen to all traffic that passes through sweden for "external threats...

what we do in the united states is make a law like this, then 10 years later, have a single line that redefines threat (typically an agriculture bill or something stupid). threat = anything that comes in and out of the county, including phone calls, etc.

Why would Sweden do that? I mean, I thought Sweden was just useless backcountry that nobody cared about.
