The eishas were popular at one time. Kids ended up with---Keneisha, Veneisha, Reneisha, Aneisha, and on and on. Teachers must have had a hard time saying the right name. My neices named their kids Allysa instead of Melissa. Lexis instead of Alexis. They change it but just a little.

At my doctor's office, I was looking at these clear plaques of people who donated money and I read one name and thought I might've read it wrong or there was some glare from the sun/light, but nope, it was really there. Dick Sass. I took a picture of it cuz I knew my friend wouldn't believe me.
When I had my son Joshua, his dad was wanting to play with his name. Our last name was Hammer. He love the idea of Sledge Hammer. Thank goodness I'm the one that filled out the birth certificate lol. And then when he was small, the head of the boy scouts here, his name was Richard Man. I couldn't help but laugh, "Have no fear Dick Man is here" lol.
my hubby's grandma on his mothers side was named (forgive the spelling as I can't find it in writting this late) applusious (like apple looshus) his great grandma is apolonia (like apple)
