I like Russian helicopters And the Sea King helicopter.I've been on board HMS Eagle,HMAS Melbourne, and HMS Invincible that have visited Wellington. I know one or two people have experience with the Sea King here.I am impressed with how well they perform in rough weather,especially with SAR duties.Pretty brave! PL

I built a Huey model when I was a youngster, but my favorites lately have been -- and please excuse my ignorance on exact names -- but Blackhawks, Sikorsky skyhooks and any of the other helicopters working the fires in my neighborhood this summer.

I'm rather fond of the Rotorway line of helicopters such as the A-600 Talon . Not only is it relatively affordable for a 2 seat helicopter but it's cute, too. The Canadian Safari helicopter is a good kit, too. Similar to an old Bell 47, it's a well implemented old school design. Of course, if money were no object, I'd love to own an AH-1 Cobra.
