That's sad to hear. He was always one of my favorites, especially his portrayal of Columbo.

That's a real shame. I love "Columbo". FWIW, recent research shows one of the main spices in curry - turmeric - protects you against Alzheimers. I add it to suitable dishes.

I watched a Sugar Ray Leonard boxing match with him at the Hynes Auditorium in Boston, just by happenstance. He was a regular guy and smaller than the screen makes him appear.
