en.wikipedia.org — "First names shall not be approved if they can cause offense or can be supposed to cause discomfort for the one using it, or names which for some obvious reason are not suitable as a first name."

The parents then tried to change the spelling of the name to A (also pronounced ['albin']) instead. Once again, the court did not approve of the name, this time because of a prohibition on one-letter naming.

You know that joke about how Chinese people name their kids according to the sound a can makes when they throw it down the stairs? Well...these guys threw the freaking keyboard down the stairs...and whatever came up on the screen...that was gonna be the name.

And the whole protest they thought they were fighting for was lost as soon as the son started actually going by the name "Albin Hallin". Congratulations, you have a wiki page to leave behind your legacy of douchebaggery parents for absolutely no reason.

"Brfxxccxxmnpcccclllmmnprxvclmnckssqlbb11116" => (pronounced) "Albin" "Albin" => (translated) => "A", so it's still seen as protest-like material. Don't get me wrong, the parents are still douchebags.

Not really, the courts are saying they want a name so they gave them a name. As far as the parents are concerned the kid doesn't have a name so the name they give them is meaningless. Naming your kid "Ihategays" would be be using the kids as a means to an end. Not naming your kid due to personal beliefs doesn't fall under that same distinction. Your legal name and your actual name have nothing to do with eachother for a lot...
