The Gamespot review says it lasts about 12 hours; it's even shorter if you just do what you have to to finish it. I wouldn't bother buying it when you could easily finish it in the rental period.

I just got it today and just paid for my fight against the number 9 assassin and am about 75 minutes into it. Seems like its going to be short. I don't know why you would want to turn off the blood. It makes the style so unique and crazy.

If your parents think Pikmin is violent, then I don't think you're going to be getting this game dude.
