This is a malpractice suit for sure. Quite frankly the hospital staff and procedures need to be reviewed. I would stay away. There was a case of a patient who underwent spinal cord surgery and toppled over in pain when he was released. Apparently a long instrument was forgotten in his body. Quite scary and horrible stuff.

how can u mistake something like that? what is up with the doctors there? did they not graduate or are they just so old they cant read the patients' names. I hope the woman wins.

hope this kind of mistake would happen to anyone again...i think they should make a rule when patients in the operation room the doctors or patients should let each other know clear what kind of procedure they are doing/having and verify patients name before putting them into sleep...so they won't be any mistake again...

omg... this is a freak mistake committed by the hospital. They ought to be penalised heavily for this. I mean, wouldn't you confirm the patient's particular or something before an operation?

how is it even possible to mistake a leg for an anus? even a little kid can tell the difference. someone in that surgical team must have mixed up the med charts. on a side note ... i didnt know an anus can be replaced

man that sucks...for something like that. pretty tramatizing...fixing something that never was broken sort of deal... i hope she sues like hell...

WOW THat is one hell of a malpractice. They really should make final checks for operations... i mean an anus instead of a leg is SOOOOOO bad.
