What soundtracks do you like better than the movies they accompanied? A few that come to mind off the top of my head: "Garden State" "That Thing You Do" "The Big Chill" "Empire Records"

"A Life Less Ordinary" Yes! That was one of the few films I walked out of, but it had an excellent soundtrack!

The Hot Spot . The movie is all right [Jennifer Connelly's astonishing, uncovered bosoms are more than all right - Ed.] but the soundtrack with John Lee Hooker, Miles Davis, and Taj Mahal, performing together is First Rate Plus. I think I tickled his fancy bone. ~ Mrs. Valentine

I actually tried watching "The Hot Spot" a couple weeks ago, and it bored me. But excellent jazz/blues soundtrack.

I agree with Garden State and The Big Chill. I'd add most of Cameron Crowe's films, especially Vanilla Sky and Almost Famous. The Crow is another one.
