I've been tasked with coming up with a "tool kit" for deskside techs in a large, international enterprise. Since I've been in Management for a bit too long I wanted some input from people that work on PC's every day. Well, I dunno if the PE's and Hiren's are legal, but those are really good. My picks: -Ontrack EasyRecovery (for data recovery from borked drives) -Acronis TrueImage (Echo) (for imaging) -Partition Magic or Acronis DiscDirector (for partioning etc.) -Eset NOD32 (AV for cleaning drives after *outside* the PC they're from, it get's stuff SAV doesn't every time) -A remote support solution, like ...

When I used to be the Senior Tech at a large customer contract, I created two different BartPE disks for the other support tects and myself to use. My disk consisted of purchased and licensed software used for data recovery, partition resizing, and other less often used utilities. We only purchased one copy of each program so I controlled the use of them by only having the one disk that I used....
