I guess Jean Van De Velde to win the British must have sucked but the Angels on a no-hitter and they lose???? Unreal. On the flip side a play on the Dodgers is some serious clean living. Nice work.

In a controversial fight, heavily favored super featherweight contender Humberto Soto (43-7-2, 27 KOs) punished Francisco Lorenzo (33-4, 14 KOs) for four rounds, but it was Lorenzo who claimed the interim version of Manny Pacquiao's WBC 130lb belt. In round four, Soto dropped the 36-year-old Lorenzo twice, however after the second knockdown Soto clipped Lorenzo after he took a knee. With blood ...

Unreal. What a bullshit society we live in in 2008. 40 years ago that crap never would have happened. What a joke. I can't imagine would it would be like to work as hard as that boxer did, perform to your potential and get nixed on that BS. So foolish.

you cant intentionally hit someone when he is on one knee.i think soto grazed him only due to bad aim.he may not have known his knee was down and lorenzo looked liked a wwe wrestler with his selling of his "concussion".but you cant suspend the rule just because soto was way ahead.it was a bad beat though

The fact is Lorenzo was done because his ass got kicked. Not because of some little punch that grazed the back of his head. Soto was completely and utterly ROBBED. BTW- What was Cortez doing just before that? he was breaking up the fighters for no reason, just a horrific job all around.

I had a horse that had a 5 length lead down the stretch and the jockey thought the 16th pole was the finish line and he stood up on the mount and eased him up and lost. I had another horse with a big lead down the stretch and he broke down before he got to the finish line. I could probably keep remembering bad beats all day long if I tried.

Ok, I never tell bad beat poker stories but this one unique in that the I got the bad beat by the dealer. I'm in Vegas last weekend playing at MGM and look down at 2 Ks. I'm sitting across the from the dealer who is firing my cards on the granite which they get mad if you keep them there, they need to be on the felt. I move my cards on to the felt, no where near the freaking line, go to grab ...
