When it says it's low, start iTunes, then start the visualizer. When it says the battery is depleted and goes into standby (throbbing light on the latch) let it run for an additional 8 hours or so until the light is...

I may have the same MBP. Late 2006? Like November or so? Well, last summer the same thing happened to me. It would get to 20 percent, or maybe 40 percent, then just snap off. I had Applecare. I called them, described the situation, and after about 10 minutes, they said they would send me a new battery, which they did pretty quick. Latest update: Still using the battery, but trying not to let it get to 30% before recharging. Full charge capacity is now reading 3412 mAh - 54% capacity. Load cycles - 290 The MBP is 28 months old, but the battery is about 6-7 months younger. This morning at work I wasn't watching the charge indicator as closely as I should have. I actually got down to 16% ...
